What is the mission of JET?

The mission of JET is to amplify the voices of marginalized and oppressed communities, focusing on driving a global shift towards a fair, equitable, and sustainable energy future. Additionally, we explore the intersection of renewable energy, climate justice, and sustainable solutions to promote a just energy transition.

The JET podcast is hosted by Dr. Andani Thakhathi, a dynamic leader in climate justice and sustainability. Dr. Thakhathi holds a PhD in Ethics and Responsible Leadership from the Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics and Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg in Germany. He also earned a Master of Commerce in Business Sustainability from the University of South Africa. With extensive research published in top academic journals, his expertise spans renewable energy, socioeconomic ethics, and green business practices. Dr. Thakhathi brings a unique blend of academic excellence and practical experience to the JET podcast, engaging with thought leaders to amplify marginalized voices and foster global dialogue on the just energy transition.

The JET podcast focuses on the intersection of renewable energy, climate justice, and sustainable solutions, with a particular emphasis on the voices and experiences of marginalized communities in the Global South. In addition, each episode explores key topics surrounding the just energy transition, uncovering the challenges and opportunities in creating a more equitable and sustainable future.
